We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer for a Kent-based automotive company. The company is the industry leader in industrial vehicle and portable plant safety. Job Requirements:
- HND in science, engineering, or a related field.
- 5-6 GCSEs at grade C or higher, including Maths, Science (Physics), and English.
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics or a technical field is required.
- Capable of demonstrating coordination abilities.
- Detail-oriented thinking is essential.
- Understanding of product introduction and life cycle.
- Application skills for the Microsoft 365 Suite and Standard desktop programs.
- A fascination with modern technology, the automotive or electronics industries, and CAD development tools.
- Practical ability combined with a methodical approach to detail.
- Multi-tasker with the ability to provide technical support.
- Capable of meeting deadlines and eager to learn.
- Excellent communication abilities, including the capacity to interact with customers, managers, and coworkers effectively.
- Clear spoken English is essential, as is fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the launch throughout the product's lifecycle.
- Liaison with suppliers and management.
- Developing requirements and engineering specifications.
- Product testing and validation.
- Creation of technical materials, user guides, and detailed component drawings.
- Assist the sales, marketing, and customers with technical product support.
- Direct contact with suppliers, particularly those in the Far East.
- Ascertain and uphold a top-notch supplier/client relationship at all times.
