We have an exciting opportunity for an Insurance Underwriter Assistant role in an Insurance company based in New York. It is a mid-sized agency offering professional, timely, and quality services for insurance products and counseling to businesses and individuals. They are seeking to hire a Mandarin speaker person with the necessary skills to fill this role.
Job Requirements:
- Chinese fluency is required.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Team player with an optimistic outlook on work, good interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical abilities.
- Excellent math and statistics abilities.
- Detail-orientedness and negotiation abilities.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Check the suitability of risks and appropriate pricing levels when evaluating new and renewal business submissions.
- Proactively and timely provide superior customer service to brokers and/or insureds.
- Communicate with brokers and insureds to discover fresh opportunities for business expansion.
- Investigating insurance proposals.
- Gathering background data, risk assessments, and statistical data analysis using specialized computer programs.
- Creating quotes and negotiating terms with brokers and customers.
