We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper role in a Real Estate agency based in CA. Providing a wide range of services for buyers, sellers, investors, landlords, and tenants, it is a full-service real estate company. They are seeking to hire an experienced person with the necessary skill set to fill this role.

Job Requirements:

Experience with real estate bookkeeping for 3 years is essential.
Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) proficient.
Previous bookkeeping experience, particularly in the real estate industry, is preferred.
Quickbooks knowledge.
Professional attitude, capable of working in a team.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Capable of prioritizing tasks and effectively communicating with colleagues, investment partners, and ownership.
Knowledge of the housing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

Financial statement preparation using the accrual basis and GAAP.
Gathering and keeping track of tenant data, creating monthly reports, and other property management tracking tasks.
Monthly closings, including a complete set of financial statements with supporting schedules, all journal entries, and work papers.
Manage accounting procedures such as reviewing and entering all payables and receivable batches, reviewing tenant ledgers, and reconciling billings.
Assistance in Keeping Security Deposit and disbursement information.
Keep and supervise a well-organized filing system for leases, tenants, insurance, vendors, buildings, contracts, purchase orders, and any other relevant documents.
Prepare the rent bills and enter the payments into the software.
Weekly bank reconciliation.
