We have an exciting opportunity for a Bilingual Family Law Paralegal in a California-based Law Practice firm. It is a boutique law firm with expertise in family law, civil and commercial litigation, estate planning, and intellectual property. They are looking to hire an experienced paralegal to assist in routine operations.
Job Requirements:
- Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin & English.
- Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience managing family law matters.
- Absolute team player with a track record of success.
- Committed to providing excellent customer service, well-organized, and self-motivated.
- Capable of dealing with anxious, upset, or distressed clients.
- Competent and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as E-Mails.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a large caseload.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing and drafting motions, pleadings, judgments, statements, documents, and other correspondence.
- Conducting legal research.
- Keeping track of attorney calendars and case files.
- Scheduling meetings, court dates, and mediation/deposition hearings.
- Conducting client interviews and acting as a liaison between the client and the attorney.
- Preparing trial notebooks and assisting in trial settings.
- Contacting clients to request the submission of required documents for application and court filings.
- Handling a high volume of client inquiries over the phone and in person.
- Upkeep the firm's calendar and communication of scheduling updates to clients, staff, and attorneys.
