We have an exciting opportunity for a Chinese-speaking Maintenance Technician role in a London-based private holding and management firm. The firm serves as the group's head office for a global portfolio of investee businesses across multiple industries. It provides centralized governance, strategic oversight, and shared services to its affiliated entities, supported by a highly experienced team located in key international markets. Currently, they are seeking a bilingual (Chinese and English) experienced person to fill the position of Maintenance Technician.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role
- Experience in property or facilities management
- Relevant training or certification would be preferred
- Fluent in English and Chinese
- Knowledge of UK building codes and safety standards
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends
- Customer service orientation
- Physical ability to handle equipment and tools
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations
- Communicate effectively in English and Chinese
- Assist in planning and executing maintenance schedules
